NY State volunteer firefighter or EMT squad member

  Taxes: If you are an ACTIVE NY State volunteer firefighter or EMT squad member, you may be eligible for a $200 NY State tax credit even if you don't normally file a return. If you didn't get the credit in 2021, 2022 OR 2023 you can amend return and get it. 

This is for active members only and have to be an active member the whole year. Honorary members are not active members.
